The US President Donald Trump boasted of de-escalating a huge crisis between India and Pakistan as he called it the “N-word,” or the threat of nuclear war.
In an interview to Fox News with Brett Baier, the US president stated that he ended that war that would have been the nuclear war, or at least it was close.
“Everybody [India and Pakistan] was stronger, stronger– to the point where the next one was gonna be you know what. The N word. You know what the N word is, right?” Trump queried.
Baier answered hastily, “nuclear,” before expressing gratitude to Trump for explaining.
“It’s the N word. That’s a very nasty word, right? In many ways. The n word used in a nuclear context,” Trump told him.
He stated that the worst thing that could happen was going to happen, and he felt that the two were almost at it.
In Trump’s opinion, the degree of hatred between India and Pakistan was off the charts.
He also mentioned that he suggested making a change to discuss trade instead.
“You know we cannot forget them [Pakistan], and because it takes two to tango.”
And with Pakistan, I also discussed trade. They [Pakistan] love to trade.
Trump appreciated the things produced in Pakistan and also said that very little trade is being performed with Pakistan.
“Of course, in, I told my people, call them up [Pakistan and India], let’s start trading right away. because I’m a man of my word.
Following the Pahalgam attack, India attempted to declare war on Pakistan under the title “Operation Sindoor” on May 7.
Pakistan, however, countered firmly when India launched missiles against Pakistan. The conflict subsided within hours when the Indian army conceded losses and presented de-escalation.
US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire. Following the ceasefire, on May 13, the Pakistan army announced the martyrdom of 40 civilians and 11 personnel.
