The UK Ministry of Defence has transferred three advanced hovercrafts to the Pakistan Navy, significantly enhancing the country’s maritime defence capabilities.
Information that surfaced on Wednesday suggests that the Pakistan Navy’s operational readiness has been significantly improved with the addition of these state-of-the-art hovercraft. The hovercraft was manufactured by the renowned British company Griffon Marine Support under an agreement signed in February 2022.
Known for their exceptional speed, agility, and adaptability, the hovercraft will significantly boost the Pakistan Navy’s ability to conduct logistical and support missions. Their inclusion is expected to improve the effectiveness and reach of Pakistan’s naval forces.
The handover ceremony took place in London and was attended by senior representatives of the Pakistan High Commission.
