China has strongly condemned US attacks on Iran saying that it has tarnished the credibility of Washington damaging its image worldwide.
The UN Security Council held a meeting on Sunday to discuss the U.S. airstrikes on the nuclear sites of Iran. During this meeting Russia, China and Pakistan suggested that security council should take a resolution to require an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in the Middle East.
According to the state broadcaster CCTV, China UN Ambassador Fu Cong believed that parties should be restrained to the impulse of force, not acting to inflame the conflict and pour fuel into the fire.
Fu wrote that both parties, in particular, Israel should stop fighting immediately in order to curb the escalation of the situation and to prevent the spillover of war.
Tensions in the Middle East have intensified dramatically as missile sirens blared across several Israeli cities, including Nahariya, Gesher Haziv, Hila, Me’ona, and Mi’ilya, following new projectile launches from Iran, on Monday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also confirmed that sirens were activated in central Israel, marking a serious escalation in the ongoing conflict and raising fears of a broader regional confrontation.
In a major development, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had successfully shot down an Israeli Hermes drone over Khorramabad in Lorestan Province early this morning. The Hermes drone is one of Israel’s most advanced unmanned aerial systems, used for high-level surveillance and precision strikes, making its downing a significant strategic and symbolic setback.
A spokesperson from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a strong warning in response to recent U.S. actions, stating:
“Powerful and calculated operations with severe and unpredictable consequences await the United States due to its direct aggression and violation of Iranian sovereignty.”
As the conflict escalates and both sides increase military activity, the international community is watching closely, concerned that the situation may spiral further out of control.
