India is celebrating the US Congress bill that seeks to boost Indian defense against Pakistan.
It calls it a great success because of their polarized prime minister Modi’s stance against Pakistan and the acceptance of its viewpoint point on terrorism in America. How Pakistan reacts to this move of its so-called friend is still unknown. The tabling of this bill on one hand speaks of Pakistan’s ability to distinguish between foes and friends, on the other depicts its failure on diplomatic fronts and its priorities.
India wishes this bill be passed the way Congress recently passed a resolution with the vast majority seeking investigations into the Feb 8 elections in Pakistan. The bill moved in the US Senate seeks to assess Pakistan’s alleged role in Afghanistan before and after the fall of Kabul to the Afghan Taliban, but the senator just skipped intentionally how America was involved in forming the Taliban when Russia was sent back.
US Senator Marco Rubio who is an influential person on Thursday introduced a bill in Congress that proposes to treat India like Japan, Israel, Korea, and NATO allies regarding technology transfers, support in its response to growing threats to its territorial integrity, and bar Pakistan from receiving security assistance if it is found to have sponsored terrorism against India. the honorable senator just forgot about Kulbhushan Jadhav – an Indian naval officer – launched into Pakistan, not for friendship but terrorism and destruction. He also neglected the fact that India is sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan through Afghanistan. Pakistan didn’t establish ISIS, rather the allegation for working and formation is on America.
Pakistan’s alliance with America against the war on terror threw Pakistan into the hell of terrorism. It is Pakistan that lost nearly 100,000 lives in this war, but not a single American. The Bill seeks to support India like US ally Israel.
Mr. Senator also skipped the records how Mr. Modi managed killing of 2000 Muslims in Gujrat incident, how Muslims and Sikh community are targeted by state operates in India. Had this senator ever brought a bill to support the Muslims killed in Barman? Did he bring any bill supporting Pakistan over the cross-border terrorism? India and Afghanistan are involved in these terrorisms.
This is unfortunate that almost all the governments in Pakistan could never realize that America can never be a friend to Pakistan because it deceived Pakistan a number of times ago including when it supplied weapons to India against this country. The proposed bill speaks about relaxing embargos concerning India’s purchase of weapons from Russia, it doesn’t speak for relaxing restrictions Pakistan’s trade with Iran and Gas Pipeline that is a life line for the people of Pakistan. This just speaks of the disguised hate against the people of Pakistan and Pakistan’s failure on diplomatic fronts. The bill says “Communist China continues to aggressively expand its domain in the Indo-Pacific region, all while it seeks to impede the sovereignty and autonomy of our regional partners. It’s crucial for the US to continue its support in countering these malicious tactics. India, along with other nations in the region, is not alone,” Rubio said after he introduced the US-India Defense Cooperation Act in the Senate. What about the Indian occupation on Jammu and Kashmir? Is it not the nefarious expansion of India? it should have been there in this bill that India killed thousands of Kashmiris just to usurp their land in violation of amorality and a number of UN resolutions. The US left Afghanistan under a direct deal with the Taliban but now it presses Pakistan to take responsibility for whatever was happening in Afghanistan. What is happening to Pakistan is actually worse than what has happened before, this Senator should have realized.
Senator Sherry Rehman once speaking in the senate said, “It is important to engage with all countries with self-respect, particularly the US that itself is in turmoil over its 20 years occupation of Afghanistan, what are we doing to empower our own selves? Instead of trying to unite the parliament around a bipartisan foreign policy, the parliament has never met on the Afghan transition, the humanitarian crisis there, and the response. All over the world joint meetings are being held on Afghanistan but Pakistan’s government is in a state of denial over dealing with the parliament.” “If we even try to help Pakistan, we are told our leaders are corrupt. How is that helping Pakistan? You need to pay attention to what’s going on in the Pakistan Senate, not just the US Senate.” She said serious, deliberative and informed approach was required from the government and there was a need to have a discussion on the state of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
India is printing the extracts of this bill like: “The proposed US-India Defence Cooperation Act strongly supports “technology transfers” to India and urges the administration to treat India on par with US allies such as Japan, Israel, South Korea, and NATO members.” The bill requires the US administration to submit a report to Congress on Pakistan’s use of offensive force, including terrorism and proxy groups, against India. The bill argues the US-India partnership is vital.”
Addressing a joint session of the US Congress where he received a rousing welcome, Modi said ties had deepened like never before: “In the past few years, there have been many advances in AI – Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, there have been even more momentous developments in another AI – America and India.” “We agree the Biden administration works on a coalition of like-minded countries, the democracies versus the autocracies.” This how America is treating Pakistan. This unfortunate that none of our political leadership is interested to portray an image that we are a united nation and Pakistan is first to us all. We are just fighting for the seat – the opposite is fighting for seat and the ruling party too. It will further weak Pakistan and may mush more such kind of bills will be introduced than.
