Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder chairman Imran Khan will be out of Adiala jail by the end of April or during the first week of next month (May).

PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said this during a media talk in Islamabad.

Former prime minister Imran Khan is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail under multiple charges.

Majority of his followers and supporters were expecting that the former prime minister will be freed on Eid ul Fitr. But Khan and his second-in-command Shah Mahmood Qureshi offered Eid prayer in jail.

Talking to media, Barrister Gohar rejected the reports regarding differences within party leadership. He said all party leaders are working as per the instructions of Khan. “There is no difference among us. The reports about differences are baseless.”

Reports are circulating on social and national media about inside differences among Sher Afzal Marwat, Barrister Gohar, Asad Qaiser , Shehryar Afridi and other party leaders over multiple issue.

PTI chairman said the party will hold first protest demonstration on April 13 (Sunday) in Pishin, Balochistan. The next protest rally will be held in Gujranwala and the PTI allies will also attend it, he added.

The PTI, he said, is starting protest movement for the independence of judiciary and against the rigging the general election. “We will hold protest to get our stolen mandate back,” he said.

Barrister Gohar said he had reservations regarding the media statement of Shehryar Afridi. He said Mr Afridi should have raised his concerns inside party meetings rather to use the open platform.

He said the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will start development projects in the province. He said the party had raised objections over the appointment of chief secretary and IGP in the province by the federal government, demanding Islamabad to address the provincial government concerns regarding the top officials appointments.
