Yesterday, Kangana Ranaut reportedly faced a slap, sparking considerable interest in why Kulwinder Kaur, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable, struck the actress.
As Kangana Ranaut was passing through a security checkpoint at Chandigarh airport, the female constable Kulwinder Kaur purportedly administered the slap to the newly elected BJP MP.
Kaur serves as a CISF constable hailing from a farming family. She joined the CISF in 2009 and has been stationed with the aviation security unit at Chandigarh airport since 2021, as per Indian media.
To date, she has not faced any disciplinary actions or inquiries within the force. Interestingly, both Kaur and her husband are posted at the same airport.
According to Kaur, her action was triggered by a comment made by the actor-turned-politician during the 2020 farmers’ protests.
Kaur expressed her sentiments, stating, “My mother was there,” in response to Kangana Ranaut’s assertion that women at the farmers’ protests were paid ₹100 each to participate. Kaur added, “Kangana said the women were sitting in the farmers’ protests for ₹100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she made that remark.”
The female constable has been suspended from duty and is facing a police investigation.
